Carpe Diem may be the phrase which best summarizes the approach of NGAUS’ new Industry Liaison.

Nina Reiss hit the ground running with her first days spent working the 147th General Conference & Exhibition in Milwaukee.

“Nina quickly proved her experience, jumping in from day one in Milwaukee,” said Tracy Campfield, NGAUS Director of Membership and Marketing.

“She’s skilled at building relationships, planning events, and engaging with the Guard community, and she’s already connecting with members and prospects. I’m excited for the energy and expertise she’ll bring to growing our corporate membership program,” she added.

Nina joined NGAUS as the Industry Liaison last month, after serving over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard.

Her position acts as the primary interface between NGAUS corporate partners and the association.

“This [position] really was a good fit,” said Reiss. “It couldn’t be a more perfect opportunity for me to continue serving the Guard. Which is phenomenal.” said Reiss.

She will plan and execute the annual NGAUS Industry Day, which is scheduled for Dec. 8-9, 2025, at the National Guard Memorial, the NGAUS headquarters, in Washington, D.C. Reiss will also run the Industry Workshop and Minuteman Stage at the NGAUS conferences.

More information about the 28th Annual Industry Day can be found here.

Prior to NGAUS, she worked in operations at the Reserve Forces Policy Board, and as a cyber intelligence policy coordinator at the National Guard Bureau, where she directly supported CNGB staff with cyber-related Incident and Warning and threats. She also provided state support and collaboration with Incident Response.

Reiss was born in Germany at Hahn Air Force Base where her father was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. The base closed and was repurposed into Frankfurt-Hahn Airport.

Her father’s experience led to her enlisting in the Air Force. She spent nine years in active duty before transitioning to the Arkansas Air National Guard, while living in Arkansas. She will retire from the Guard on Oct. 1.

While in the service, she deployed home station for the Predator and Reaper missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

A Chief Master Sergeant, Reiss is also a lifetime member of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States.

She holds a bachelor’s and associate’s degree in science/management from Park University in Parkville, Missouri.

Reiss currently resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her children, Caitlin, 16, Emmie, 12, and Greyson, 9.
