Every year, we develop Priorities based on grass-roots input and expertise from our Members: the men, women, and veterans of the National Guard. We take those priorities and work with Congress to enhance National Guard capabilities, equipment parity, and benefits equity.

Oral History Project

The OHP offers an engaging way to capture the stories of NGAUS members’ service using both recorded oral storytelling and print media. We are excited for this opportunity to partner with PCI on the Oral History Project. They have been supporting military and veteran service organizations and colleges and universities for more than 100 years. In 2019, they added oral storytelling to the mix and have since collected more than 1 million stories.

Professional Development Events

In an effort to teach our members how the government works and the role NGAUS plays in the legislative process, we offer educational events year-round. These events give National Guard officers the opportunity to hear from defense leadership and gain professional development.
