The NGAUS General Conference is the Association’s annual business meeting. Army and Air National Guard officers from all 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia gather to network, set their legislative agenda and hear from America’s civilian and military leaders. Family members, industry representatives and local officials also attend.

Recent speakers include congressional leaders, cabinet-level secretaries, Army and Air Force secretaries and chiefs, and other senior Pentagon officials.

NGAUS will hold a trade show in conjunction with the conference featuring products and services from more than 300 companies or organizations.

Primary social events include the Governor’s Reception, Hospitality Night and the States Dinner. Other events include golf tournaments, a Fun Run, mixers and luncheons.

The National Guard Bureau chief has signed a memo authorizing federal funding that each state and territory can spend to send a small number of company-grade and junior warrant officers to the 142nd General Conference & Exhibition, Aug. 27-30 in Las Vegas, Nevada for professional development. A copy of the memo is available here.

CONFERENCE HEALTH & SAFETY Planning continues with an emphasis on attendee health and safety. NGAUS will follow local mandates on the wearing of face coverings in common areas inside regardless of vaccination status. The association will include masks in the registration bags. In addition, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and the official conference hotels observe the MGM Resorts Seven-Point Safety Plan, which includes enhanced sanitation, extra air circulation, and employee screening and temperature checks.
