Veterans and current service members are eligible for free meals and other special deals at many restaurants, retailers and recreational activities nationwide for Veterans Day 2021.

NGAUS compiled the list below from several sources. Eligibility criteria is as provided and varies by establishment. Many businesses use the term “active duty” when they really mean “actively serving.”

You may also need proof of service, such as a military ID card or driver’s license with the veteran designation.

Offers are available Thursday, Nov. 11 only unless otherwise noted. The list will be updated as more offers become available.

Restaurants and other businesses not on the list may also be providing deals and rewards on Veterans Day. It never hurts to ask.

Meals at Restaurants

54th Street Grill (www.54thstreetgrill.com) Veterans and active duty service members eat free up to $14 on Nov. 11. The offer cannot be used in combination with a reward or other discount, including 54 Funds, and is available for dine-in only. Proof of service is appreciated. Discount code: Veterans Day.

Applebee’s (www.applebees.com) Contact your local Applebee’s to learn about any Veterans Day offerings in your neighborhood. Offers may vary based on local mandates and guidelines.

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse (www.bjsrestaurants.com/VeteransDay) BJ’s is serving those who have served their country by once again teaming up with Dr Pepper®, offering a complimentary meal from a select menu and a Dr Pepper® beverage to all current military personnel and veterans with proof of service.

Buffalo Wild Wings (www.buffalowildwings.com) Veterans and service members get a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. This offer is available for dine-in or takeout (online ordering excluded). Proof of service must be shown.

Cabo Wabo Cantina (Las Vegas) (www.cabowabocantina.com) Sammy Hagar’s strip-side cantina located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas offers a 10% discount on food and drinks every day to active-duty and veterans and will increase it to 20% off food and drinks.

California Dreaming (californiadreaming.rest) Veterans and active-duty service members get 50% off any entree at locations in Augusta, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Spanish Fort, Alabama; and Surfside Beach, South Carolina.

California Pizza Kitchen (www.cpk.com) Veterans and active military get a complimentary entrée and beverage when they dine in and show proof of service. In addition, all veterans who dine with California Pizza Kitchen will receive a BOGO, redeemable from Nov. 12 through 20.

Carolina Roadhouse (carolinaroadhouse.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get 50% off any entrée.

Casino Queen (casinoqueenmarquette.com) Active-duty and retired service members get a complimentary all-you-can-eat buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 4 to 8 p.m. for dinner.

Chili’s (www.chilis.com/restaurant-events/veterans-day) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free meal from a select menu. Dine-in only.

Cracker Barrel (www.crackerbarrel.com) Cracker Barrel offers a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca Cola Cake with in-store or online purchase. Use promo code VETSDAY21 online.

The Chop House (chophousenola.com/happenings) Veterans and active military receive a 50% discount off any entrée with a valid military ID. Dine-in only. Denny’s (www.dennys.com) Veterans and active military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon. Dine-in only.

DraftKings at Casino Queen (draftkingsatcasinoqueen.com) Service members and veterans will receive a complimentary meal of pork steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables between 9 a.m. and midnight. Service members and veterans also receive a 15% discount on hotel reservations at DraftKings at Casino Queen year-round.

Dunkin’ (news.dunkindonuts.com/blog/veterans-day-free-donut) All veterans and service members get a free donut of their choice.

Famous Dave’s (www.famousdaves.com/LandingPage/veteran) offers one free Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich plus one side to all military personnel for either dine-in or to-go or ordering online (using the code “VETERAN”).

Golden Corral (www.goldencorral.com/military-appreciation) Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on Veterans Day from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.

Logan’s Roadhouse (logansroadhouse.com) Logan’s Roadhouse offers all veterans a free American Roadhouse Meal from 3 to 6 p.m.

Lucille’s BBQ (www.lucillesbbq.com/promos/military-family-month) Veterans and active-duty military receive a fee Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich and one side item. Must show proof of service. Outback (www.outback.com) Outback offers a free bloomin’ Onion and Coca Cola product to all veterans and active military.

Pilot, Flying J and One9 Fuel Network (pilotflyingj.com/rewards) Veterans authenticated with ID.me in the myRewards Plus app can save their exclusive offer for a $10 free meal credit. Starbucks (starbucks.com) Veterans, service members and military spouses get a free tall (12-ounce) hot brewed coffee at participating U.S. stores.  

Texas Roadhouse (www.texasroadhouse.com) Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when the restaurant opens for dinner, through May 30, 2022.

Wendy’s (www.wendys.com) Veterans and service members get a free breakfast combo offer with valid military ID or a Veterans Advantage card.

White Castle (www.whitecastle.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free Combo Meal #1 through #6 or Breakfast Combo Meal at participating restaurants for dine-in only. Proof of service is required.

Akron Zoo (Akron, Ohio) (www.akronzoo.org/veterans-appreciation-days-1) From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 11 through 14, all veterans receive free admission with valid military I.D. and immediate family members receive 50% off admission. Visit the website for details.
