Proposal Statement
Amending the appropriate Department of Defense (DoD), Army, Air Force regulations/instructions and policies to mandate a high-priority investigation, within 180 days, if a senior officer or warrant officer becomes subject of an Inspector General complaint that could adversely impact a promotion and/or assignment to a key leadership position.
Recommendation Information
The recommendation is to save senior officers and warrant officers from retribution complaints causing these officers careers to terminate because of alleged wrong doings cannot get promoted because of on going investigations, they miss their windows of promotion or key leadership position assignment. The services have lost many great leaders because of these long dragged out investigations that end up to be nothing but retribution complaints. By putting these investigations in a 180 day for final, complete determination then affected service members can continue with their careers or be appropriately disciplined. The objective is to make a quick, accurate investigation and determination with a specific time-line.

Propose that the appropriate DOD, Army, Air regulations/instructions and policies be changed to affect a high priority, quick investigation and determination (180 days) if a senior officer or warrant officer becomes subject of an IG complaint which would adversely impact a promotion and or assignment to a key leadership position.
