F-15 Eagle Recapitalization

The Issue

The Air National Guard F-15 Eagle fleet continues to deteriorate and requires recapitalization with new aircraft to effectively support the readiness and lethality requirements of the National Defense Strategy.

Recommendation

• Designate new fighter aircraft to the Air National Guard within defense appropriations legislation to replace its aging F-15C/D fleet
