The Issue
In the FY20 NDAA, Congress added 12304b order to the list of qualifying duty statuses that counted for early retirement. For the past few years, HRC was incorrectly interpreting law and only counting issues after 2019. In reality, all 12304b orders should qualify back to the creation of the duty status in 2011.
Accomplishment

As a result of NGAUS advocacy with DoD, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy issued a statement agreeing that all service under 12304b, back to the creation of the duty status, should be credited toward early retirement.
