Silver Star recipient, Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester’s blouse

Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester’s blouse on display was worn during a firefight outside of Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom. For her valor that day, she earned the Silver Star – the first for a woman in combat since World War 2.
