Reimbursement for Co-Pays Incurred During the MEPS Process

The Issue

Servicemembers are frequently burdened by the cost of co-pays incurred during the Medical Entrance Processing (MEPS) process required for initial military entry.

Accomplishment

• Section 537 of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) authorized a three-year pilot program that provides up to $100 reimbursement for co-pays incurred during the MEPS process.
