Pre-Conference Special Edition | July 2023

Now that your resolution has been submitted by the states and made the list of draft resolutions, there are a few things you can do at the conference to follow up. First, look closely at the conference schedule and determine when and where the Resolutions Committee meetings will take place. Typically, Joint session is held first with the Army and Air breakouts following the next day. Although industry cannot attend the meeting, you can meet with the state representatives that are hosting your resolution for any updates outside of the meeting room. Second, look at the schedule again to determine when and where your resolution Task Force is holding their meetings. By attending during the conference, you are now a part of that collaborative discussion and better understand the “behind the scenes” work accomplished in the task force sessions.

The NGAUS Board of Directors have put an increased emphasis on resolutions, empowering NGAUS Task Forces to clean up the resolutions book. This year there were 201 total Draft Resolutions, of which 32 were ARNG, 115 were ANG and 54 were JOINT.
