INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 28, 2026) — An Indiana National Guard infantry company that fought in the Vietnam War will be formally recognized with the U.S. military’s highest unit award Saturday at the 148th General Conference & Exhibition here at the Indiana Convention Center.

An Indiana National Guard infantry company that fought in the Vietnam War will receive the U.S. military’s highest honor Saturday during the opening ceremony of the 148th Geneal Conference & Exhibition.

The National Guard Bureau announced the recipients of the 2025 State Partnership Program Awards during a recent conference, recognizing individuals, teams and partnerships whose achievements strengthened security, increased readiness and forged enduring partnerships worldwide.

The Indiana National Guard’s Company D (Ranger), 151st Infantry — one of the most decorated infantry companies of the Vietnam War — will receive the Presidential Unit Citation at the 148th General Conference & Exhibition, Aug. 28-31 in Indianapolis.
