Restaurants, Retailers Offer Meals, Special Deals for Veterans Day

Veterans and current service members are eligible for free meals and other special deals at many restaurants, retailers and recreational facilities nationwide for Veterans Day 2020.

NGAUS compiled the list below from several sources. Eligibility criteria is as provided and varies from establishment to establishment. Many businesses use the term “active duty” when they really mean “actively serving.”

To ensure you are eligible, contact the businesses directly or visit their websites. You may also need proof of service, such as a military ID card or driver’s license with the veteran designation.

Offers are available Wednesday, Nov. 11 only unless otherwise noted. The list will be updated as more offers become available.
Restaurants and other businesses not on the list may also be providing deals and rewards on Veterans Days. It never hurts to ask.

Restaurants

54th Street Grill – Veterans and active-duty military personnel eat free. Dine-in only.
Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant – Veterans and active-duty military can choose one free entrée from the Veterans Day menu at select locations.
Ahipoki –Veterans and active-duty military receive 50% off poke bowls at all locations across Arizona and California. Dine-in or take out.
Applebee’s – Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free meal from a limited menu at participating Applebee’s. Dine-in only.
Aspen Creek Grill – Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary meal from a special menu from 11 a.m. to close.
Bagger Dave’s – Active, reservists and retired personnel get a free Great American Cheeseburger and fries. Dine-in only.
Bakers Square – Veterans receive a free Rise & Shine breakfast and a 20% off coupon for a future dining experience between Nov. 12 and Nov. 30.
Bandana’s BBQ – Veterans and active-duty military get a free Budget Buster Meal.  
Bar Louie – Active and retired military personnel receive a free craft burger or flatbread of choice at participating locations.
Ben’s Soft Pretzels –Veterans and active military get a Free Jumbo Soft Pretzel at participating locations.
BIBIBOP Asian Grill – Veterans and active-duty military get a free bowl. In-store only.
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse – Veterans and active-duty personnel receive a free entrée up to $14.95 and a free Dr. Pepper beverage.
Black Angus Steakhouse – Veterans get the All-American Steak Plate for $10.99. This deal is available for restaurant dining and takeaway orders.
Bombshells Restaurant and Bar – Veterans and active-duty military get free meals and soft drinks. Accompanying family members will receive a 20% discount. Dine-in only.
Bob Evans – Veterans and active-duty personnel receive a special menu of seven home-style favorites for free at local restaurants. Dine-in only.
Brick House Tavern + Tap – Veterans’ parties of up to four receive 20% off their meal (not including alcoholic beverages).
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. – Military personnel and their families receive 20% off at participating locations.
Buffalo Wild Wings – Veterans and active-duty service members get a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. Dine-in or takeout.
California Dreaming – Veterans and active military receive 50% off an entrée.
California Pizza Kitchen – Veterans and active-duty service members receive a free entrée.
Cantina Laredo – Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary meal up to $20 at participating locations. Not valid with online orders.
Carolina Roadhouse – Veterans and active military receive 50% off an entrée.
Casey’s General Stores – Service members both past and present get a free coffee.
Cattlemens Steakhouse – Active, inactive and retired military personal receive a complimentary 8 oz. Sirloin Steak dinner at participating locations.
CentraArchy Restaurants – Veterans and active-duty military members get an entrée from the full menu at any location for half price. Reservations encouraged.
Chili’s Grill & Bar – Veterans and active-duty military personnel can get a free meal from a special menu. Dine-in only.
Chicken Salad Chick – Veterans and active-duty military will receive a free Chick Special and a regular drink.
Cicis Pizza – Active and retired military get a free adult buffet. Dine-in only. Coupon required.
The Chop House – Veterans and active military receive a 50% discount off any entrée.
Chophouse ’47 – Veterans and active military receive 50% off an entrée.
Coco’s – Veterans and active-duty service members get a free slice of pie, along with a "Buy One, Get One" free deal at all locations. Dine-in or take-out orders.
Colton’s Steak & Grill – Veterans eat free from a special menu from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. Dine-in only. Not available in Kentucky locations.
Connors Steak & Seafood – Active-duty and retired service members get 50% off any dine-in lunch or dinner entree.
Cotton Patch Café – All veterans and active military receive a free meal: chicken-fried steak or chicken-fried chicken.
Country Kitchen – Active and retired military receive a free country scramble.
Cracker Barrel – Veterans receive a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake when dining at any location nationwide. In addition, Cracker Barrel will donate a $10 Cracker Barrel gift card to Operation Homefront for each country-fried turkey family meal basket sold in the month of November (up to $50,000), and the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Foundation will make an additional $50,000 donation to Operation Homefront – totaling up to $100,000 to support military families this holiday season.
Crooked Pint Ale House – Veterans and active-duty military personnel save 10% every day at participating locations.
Denny’s – Veterans and active-duty service members receive a free Build Your Own Grand Slam at participating Denny’s locations Nov. 12 from 5 a.m. to noon.  
Dickey’s Barbecue Pitt – Veterans get a free Pulled Pork Classic Sandwich in-store at participating locations.
Dunkin’ Donuts – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free donut at participating locations. Offer available in-store only.
Einstein Bros. Bagels – Veterans and active-duty military get a free hot or iced medium coffee on November 11.
Eat’n Park – Veterans and their families receive 10% off all November. Dine-in only.
Famous Dave’s – Military personnel and veterans receive a free meal at participating locations. Valid for dine-in, to go and online ordering. Use code VETERAN for online orders. Not valid for call-in orders.
Farmer Boys – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free Big Cheese cheeseburger at participating locations.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill – Dine with a veteran or active-duty service member participating locations and their lunch or dinner is free. Dine-in only.
Fogo de Chão – Veterans and active-duty personnel get 50% off their entire meal. In addition, each veteran or active-duty guest will receive 10% off the meals of up to three additional guests.
Friendly’s – Veterans and active-duty military get a free All-American meal for lunch or dinner, which consists of the All-American Burger, served with a side of fries and a drink. Dine-in only at participating locations.
Frisch’s Big Boy – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal, all day, up to $10 at participating locations. Available at Frisch’s dine-in, drive-thru and carryout.
Glory Days Grills – Veterans get a free appetizer or a regular order of boneless wings.
Gold Star Chili – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free 3-Way & drink. Valid for dine-in, carry out or drive-thru.
Golden Corral – Active and former military members can pick up a promotional card during the month of November, redeemable for a FREE thank-you meal. Promotional cards can be redeemed through May 31, 2021.
Gordon Biersch – Veterans and active-duty military get a free entrée from a select menu. Dine-in only.
Green Mill – Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free menu item at participating locations. Some restrictions apply. Veterans also save 10% every day.

Hometown Buffet – Active-duty, reserve or retired personnel receive 15% discount on Military Mondays – every Monday including Memorial Day.  
Huddle House – Active military members and veterans get a free MVP Breakfast Platter at participating locations.
Huey Magoo’s – Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal for one when you purchase a meal for one and two beverages.
Hy-Vee – Veterans and active military members get a free curbside pickup breakfast from 6 to 10 a.m.
IHOP – Free Red, White and Blue pancakes. Veterans and active/reserve service members are invited with family and friends to make to-order breakfast, which includes a free pancake offer till 7 p.m.
J. Christopher’s – Veterans get a free meal at participating locations. Dine-in only.
Joes’ Crab Shack – Veterans receive 20% off at participating locations. Dine-in only.
Joey D’s Oak Room – Veterans and active military receive 50% off an entrée.
Juice It Up – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free 20 oz. Classic Smoothie.
Kings Family Restaurant – Active and retired military members get a free meal from a select menu.
Kolache Factory – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free kolache and cup of coffee.

Little Caesars – Veterans and active military get a free HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo at participating stores from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Logan’s Roadhouse – Veterans and active duty service members receive a free meal at participating locations.
Lucille’s BBQ  – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich. In addition, during the month of November, dine at any Lucille’s location to round up your bill to the nearest dollar and your generous donations will support Operation Homefront’s Holiday Meals for Military.
Luna Grill (California and Texas) – Veterans offer a free meal with the purchase of a meal Nov. from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.
Macaroni Grill – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free Mom's Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti.

O’Charley’s – Veterans receive a free meal from the Veterans Thank You Menu or $10 off any meal on the regular menu. In addition, O’Charley’s provides a 10% military discount every day.
Old Country Buffett – Active-duty, reserve or retired military personnel receive 15% discount on Military Mondays (every Monday including Memorial Day) for up to four members of the family.  
Outback Steakhouse – Veterans and active-duty service members get a free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola product. Dine-in or to-go (call-in orders only, not available online).
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grill – Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary dinner pork chop for dine-in when accompanied by a guest purchasing a dinner entrée.
Pilot Flying J – Veterans get a free breakfast combo at participating locations through Nov. 15 via a special offer in the app.
Quaker Steak & Lube – Veterans receive a free meal up to $15 at participating locations. Dine-in only.
Red Lobster – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free appetizer or dessert from a select menu.  Dine-in only.  
Red Robin – Veterans and active-duty military who are Red Robin Royalty members receive a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries from Nov. 11 to 30. Dine-in or to-go.
Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery – Veterans and active-duty service members receive a free meal at participating locations.
Rock and Brews – Veterans and active military personnel receive a free pulled-pork sandwich or salad. Dine-in only.
The Rustic – Free Rustic Burger for servicemen and women.
Sagebrush Steakhouse – Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal. Dine-in only.

Sheetz – Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free half turkey sub and a regular size fountain drink. Sheetz locations that offer car washes will also provide a free car wash to veterans and active-duty military.
Shoney’s – Veterans and active-duty service members get a free All You Care To Eat, Freshly Prepared Breakfast Bar until 11 am. Dine-in only.
Snarf’s Sandwiches – Veterans and active-duty military get a free 7-inch non-specialty sandwich. In-store only.
Sonny’s BBQ – Veterans and active-duty military get a free pulled- or sliced-pork sandwich.  Dine-in or takeout only. Not available for online orders. Service members who stop by on Veterans Day will also receive a voucher for a free BBQ Egg Roll appetizer redeemable Dec. 1 to 15.  Dine-in or takeout only.
Starbucks – Veterans, military service members and military spouses get a free tall (12 oz.) hot brewed coffee at participating stores.
Sticky Fingers – Veterans and active-duty military get a free pulled-pork sandwich and fries.  Dine-in only.
Taco John’s – Active, reserve, retired and honorably discharged members of the military get a free small Beef #1 Combo Meal at participating locations. Redeem the offer in the Taco John’s App.
Tap House Grill –Veterans and active military receive a free meal.
TCBY – Veterans and active military personnel get their first 6 oz. of frozen yogurt for free at participating locations.
Texas Corral – Veterans and active-duty service members may choose one free entrée from a special menu along with any soft drink or coffee.
Texas de Brazil – Veterans receive 25% off dinner through Nov. 12 during dinner hours. Dine-in only. Reservations highly recommended.
Texas Roadhouse – Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots from 11 a.m. to 2 pm. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when they choose in-store until June of next year.
TooJay’s – Veterans and active-duty military get a free entrée from a special menu. Valid for one person only for dine-in and takeout with coupon.
Torchy’s Tacos – Veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary taco and beverage from a special menu. Dine-in and pick-up orders placed by phone or in-person only.

Village Inn – Veterans receive a free breakfast and a 20% off coupon for their next meal Nov. 12 to 30.
Yard House – Veterans and active-duty military guests get a complimentary appetizer.
Wendy’s – Active military and veterans get a free small breakfast combo at participating locations from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. Not valid for mobile orders or at kiosk.

Brown Bear Car Wash (Washington state) – Free Beary Clean car wash for all current or former members of the military at participating locations.
La Quinta by Wyndham – Eligible military members get 12% off the Best Available Rate at participating La Quinta by Wyndham hotels. Plus, Wyndham Rewards members receive 500 bonus points for qualified stays booked by Dec. 7 and completed by Dec. 8.
Lovesav – Veterans and active-duty military receive 30% off through Nov. 15.
Office Depot/Office Max – Veterans, active-duty service members, retirees, reservists and their family members receive 25% off qualifying in-store purchases.
Publix – Veterans, military members and their families and receive a 10% discount.
Rack Room Shoes – Veterans and military members receive 20% off on Veterans Day and 10% every other day.   
Sanderling Resort – Current and former military receive discounted rates of $129 per night from Nov. 11 through March 19, 2021, with an additional 20% off all food, spa and retail.
7-Eleven – Active-duty, retirees, veterans, Guardsmen, Reservists and their family members who are Veterans Advantage and 7Rewards members receive a free coffee or Big Gulp.  
Sleep Number – Military and veteran families receive an extra $100 off select smart beds and adjustable bases with promo code until Nov. 16.
Sun Viking Lodge (Daytona Beach, Fla.) – Veterans receive 25% off one- and two-night stays and 30% off three or more nights. Use the promo code HERO. Receive 25% off all future stays.
Super 8 by Wyndham – Active and retired military members, veterans and their families receive 15% off the best available rate at participating Super 8 by Wyndham hotels. Plus, Wyndham Rewards members receive 500 bonus points for qualified stays booked by Dec. 7 and completed by Dec. 8, 2020.
Target – Active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families receive 10% off their full basket. To receive the offer, guests must first demonstrate eligibility by registering at www.target.com/circle/military.
TOPS Market – Veterans receive 11% off their total order.
Walgreens – Veterans, military members and their families receive 20% off in-store purchases from Nov. 11 through Nov. 15 with Balance® Rewards card or myWalgreens™.
Wyndham – Military members, veterans and their families can save up to 20% off, plus receive 500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points on stays through Dec. 6.  

Activities

National Parks – More than 100 national parks will waive admission fees.
Akron Zoo (Akron, Ohio) – All veterans, past and current, receive free admission and immediate family members receive 50% off admission.
Alabama State Parks – Free admission for veterans, active-duty service members to the parks that charge an entrance fee or day-use fee.
Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Areas – The Army Corps of Engineers is waiving day-use fees at recreation areas.  
Aquarium of the Pacific (Long Beach, Calif.) – Veterans and military personnel receive free entry. Advance reservations required.
Bok Tower (Lake Wales, Fla.) – Active and retired servicemen and women receive admission. There will be a musical tribute to America’s heroes. Special patriotic carillon concerts are set for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. local time.
Boston Duck Tours – Veterans, active military and first responders can ride a World War II-style amphibious landing vehicle free Nov. 1 to 15, 2020. Family members ride at a discounted rate.
California State Parks – Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive free admission.
Churchill Downs (Louisville, Ky.) – Veterans and active military personnel receive free general admission and $29 tickets to Millionaires Row (normally $38).  
Cincinnati Zoo (Cincinnati, Ohio) – All active and retired members of the military receive free admission. Offer allows the purchase of up to six half-price admission tickets for immediate family.
Colonial Williamsburg – Active-duty military, National Guardsmen, Reservists, retirees, veterans and their immediate family members receive free admission Nov. 11 to 15.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife – Active-duty and veterans are admitted free to Colorado state parks. All other park fees (camping, etc.) are still charged.
Columbus Zoo (Columbus, Ohio) – Active-duty members, veterans and their immediate family members receive free admission to the zoo.
Corning Museum of Glass (Corning, N.Y.) – All military veterans receive free admission all of November. All others in the veteran’s party are welcome to enjoy 15% off their regularly priced admission.
Crayola Experience – Military members receive free admission during weekends of Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day. In addition, military and their families receive $3 off general admission tickets every day at participating locations.
Denton County Transportation Authority (Texas) – Veterans and military personnel ride for FREE on Veterans Day, with a valid ID. Please visit their website for details.
East Tennessee Historical Society (Knoxville, Tenn.) – Veterans, active duty military and their families receive free admission.
Foster Park Golf Course (Fort Wayne, Ind.) – Veterans golf for free. Carts not included. Please reserve tee time.
Foxwoods Resort Casino (Mashantucket, Conn.) – All active and retired military have access to exclusive offers and discounts on the property, including restaurants, museums, retail stores and hotel discounts. Festivities will kick-off with a parade starting at the Grand Ballroom at 11 a.m.  
New York State Fishing – Veteran’s Day has been declared a free fishing day. Anyone can fish the fresh or marine waters of New York State and no license is required.
Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden (Des Moines, Iowa) – Veterans receive free admission.
Hagley Museum (Wilmington, Del.) – Free admission for current Veterans, military members and their families receive admission.
Hardman Farm Historic Site (Sautee Nacoochee, Ga.) – Veterans, military members and their families get free admission.  
History Colorado Center (Denver) – Veterans and up to five family members receive free admission.
Joseph Manigault House (Charleston, S.C.) – Veterans and active-duty military receive free admission.
Maryland Science Center (Baltimore) – Current and former military members receive free admission and their guests $2 off.  
Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort (Wampum, Pa.) – Veterans ride free.
Mission San Juan Capistrano (San Juan, Calif.) – Veterans and active military personnel receive free admission.
Montgomery Zoo (Montgomery, Ala.) –Veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families receive 50% discount on regular time admission Nov. 8 to 14.  
Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, Va.) – Active-duty, former or retired military personnel receive free admission.
New Zoo (Green Bay, Wis.) –Veterans, active-duty service members and their families.
Sedwick Country Zoo (Wichita, Kan.) – Military personnel and their immediate families receive free admission.
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens (Akron, Ohio) – Veterans and active duty military receive complimentary self-guided tours.  
Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum (Ashland, Neb.) – Veterans, active and retired military personnel receive free admission.  
Washington State Parks – Veterans Day is a pass-free day for all parks in the state.  

Every Day Discounts

Amtrak –Veterans and active-duty service members and their family members receive 10% off the lowest available rail fare on most Amtrak trains.
Bark Social – Veterans and active-duty members receive an additional $45 off their Founding Membership.
Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s – Veterans and active-duty service members get 5% off.
Bonobos – Veterans and military members receive 20% off.
Carhartt – Veterans and military members receive 25% off.
Home Depot – Veterans and all military personnel and Veterans receive a 10% discount at all locations.
Jiffy Lube – Veterans and active-duty service members get 25% off. Offer excludes batteries, brakes, alignment and diagnostic services.
LinkedIn – Eligible members of the military community can receive one year of free access to LinkedIn Premium and LinkedIn Learning.

Nissan – Active-duty, National Guardsmen, Reservists, veterans and retirees receive $500 on a new Hyundai vehicle. The savings can be combined with all current national and regional incentives.
O’Reilly Auto Parts – Active-duty service members, veterans and their immediate family members get 10% off.
QALO – Veterans, active members and military spouses receive 15% off all QALO products.
World of Coca-Cola (Atlanta, Ga.) – Active-duty, reserve and retired members can visit free of charge.  Tickets may be obtained at the attraction’s ticketing windows.
