Proposal Statement
Recommend modernization to include Improved Batting (IBAT) and Improved Thermal and Acoustic Blankets (ITAB) on all future C-130 modernization projects.
Recommendation Information
Fully fund new Improved Thermal Acoustic Blanket (ITAB) and Improved Batting Acoustic and Thermal (IBAT), thereby Improving the durability of the blanket system as well as improves attachment system to prevent dropped objects from around cargo ramp and cargo door. The new system would also improve acoustics inside the airframe and increase crew safety, due to their oleophobic characteristics.
