NATIONAL GUARD BUREAU ATTENDANCE AND TRAVEL GUIDANCE
The chief of the National Guard Bureau signed a memorandum to the adjutants general June 7 authorizing a limited number of officers from each state and territory to attend the NGAUS conference on official orders.
Flights
Attendees should use Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE), located about 8 miles south of the city. Most major airlines provide nonstop or one-stop service daily. The airport is also home to the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 128th Air Refueling Wing.
Ground Transportation
Commercial bus transportation transfers from the airport to the downtown area hotels will run continuously from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, and Friday, Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Aug. 26, commercial bus transportation transfers from downtown hotels to the airport from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Transportation fee is $10 each way paid upon conference registration. Milwaukee airport is a 25-minute drive into the city. Buses depart every 30 minutes.
