Proposal Statement
Require all USAF Active-Duty officers selected as promotable to O 7 to complete a minimum 12 month assignment to include 12 drill periods within the Air National Guard prior to pin on. This assignment may take the form of:
• A Title 10 or Title 32 exchange tour
• A senior leadership developmental position within an ANG wing, group, or state headquarters
• A joint billet involving state–federal coordination
• A Total Force Integration (TFI) leadership role embedded in an ANG unit
Completion of this term becomes a mandatory prerequisite for assuming General Officer rank.
