A Shortfall was determined during National Guard Civil Support missions, specifically during Superstorm Sandy. During fueling operations conducted by National Guard assets, the fuel nozzles on the National Guard fuel trucks were too large and were unable to fuel civil government and first responder vehicles. Providing a fuel nozzle adapter will eliminate this problem and would allow civil government and first responder vehicles to receive fuel from military fuel assets.

Providing a military fuel nozzle adapter that will fit civilian vehicle fuel tanks would allow civil government vehicles and first responder vehicles to receive fuel from military fuel assets.
