Expand air refueling capabilities to include KC-46 and drogue options – A-10s require more refueling options than currently exist to support contingency operations. With the KC-10 being retired, we can only refuel off the KC-135. Expanding our refueling options to the KC-46 will allow additional flexibility throughout any AO. We have also completed a preliminary fit check with a drogue refueling adapter which would allow us to take fuel from any drogue capable tanking platform. Some funding has already been provided for this but we need a little more before we can commence full testing.
