CRITICAL NEED FOR SUPPORT- The Air National Guard (ANG) requires a system capable of off-loading fuel from mobility aircraft into collapsible tanks for multi-point aircraft/vehicle refueling operations on aircraft power. This single-point defueling system must be compatible with C-130 aircraft.

STATES IMPACTED - All ANG C-130, HC-130 aircraft located at CONUS and OCONUS sites.

MISSION CRITICAL NEED - This system can extend the reach of aviation and ground transportation assets into isolated areas experiencing critical infrastructure failure during the first 72 hours following a natural or man-made disaster or combat operations providing a DUAL USE GAME CHANGING capability to the ANG C-130 fleet.

DEPLOYMENTJUSTIFICATION- The ANG has a Critical Response Team (CRT) mission requirement that is unique to the homeland defense and combat operations and has identified and validated shortfalls in the ability to offload fuel from aircraft in both CONUS and OCONUS locations due to lack of enough ground power units to remove at the location.

FUNDING JUSTIFICATION – The funding for this equipment is a candidate for National Guard and Reserve Equipment Account (NGREA) Appropriation 0350

ANG REQUIREMENT - Deployable aviation refueling point systems are required for C-130 to add a defuel capability to locations CONUS and OCONUS for all C-130 units to include those identified for CRT missions
