Proposal Statement
Implement a comprehensive cyber hardening awareness training campaign to ingrain basic cyber hygiene practices across all warfighter platforms
Recommendation Information
The necessity for cyber awareness is constant and evolving, but without a basis understanding of the core elements associated with establishing a resilient cyber defense within our systems, it is unreasonable to expect a warfighter to appreciate the severity of a simple action which could have been without negative cyber consequences years, or even months prior.

There is a need to Implement a comprehensive cyber hardening awareness training campaign to ingrain basic cyber hygiene practices across the warfighter spectrum. The training should be tailored to address the different levels, from the senior leadership to the maintenance technician, based on their level of interface with the numerous systems and subsystems which are cyber attack candidates, and their level of influence of what systems are procured or utilized in order to accomplish the mission.

As Cyber threads become more common and more sophisticated, it is critical that all levels involved in military operations understand and appreciate the severity of the threat, the possible methods and mechanisms being used to infiltrate our defense systems, and the actions and inactions which facilitate cyber intrusion, both overt and inadvertent.
