Increase Fire Power by integrating/fielding Javelin Weapon System into all Military Police Combat Support Units
Recommendation Information
Javelin provides ARNG Brigade Combat Teams and Combat Engineer Units significant fire power on the battlefield. Javelin is a combat proven weapon system demonstrating lethality against a wide variety of targets. Javelin has a greater than 94% reliability rate. It can be deployed from multiple platforms.
Military Police Combat Support Units require increased fire power because of combat zone mission responsibilities, mounted and dismounted patrols, response force operations, area damage control, route reconnaissance, cordon and search operations and convoy and personnel escorts.
Javelin provides that fire power.
RECOMMENDATION: The National Guard Association of the United States urge the U.S. Army to include Javelin in all U.S. Army Military Police Combat Support Units as soon as possible and ask Congress to support this effort.
