Recapitalizing the 12 ANG Remotely Pilot Aircraft (RPA) wings to meet National Defense Strategy (NOS) needs and remain proportionally aligned with the Active Duty RPA/Next Gen construct as it develops.
Recommendation Information
MQ-9 is proposed to sunset in or about 2035, and program of record funding for new MQ-9 capabilities and aircraft improvements is reduced. As the next generation RPA is developed to meet our near peer adversaries, Air National Guard wings currently flying the MQ-9 should be recapitalized/transitioned to the new system of record.
