Accelerate the Armory as a Docking Station Initiative to allow the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) to receive automated updates without satellite communications
Recommendation Information
Currently it takes a full IDT period to fully assemble and update all components to meet the Information Assurance patching requirements. Accelerate the Armory as a Docking Station initiative to allow tactical systems to connect directly to armory infrastructure instead of requiring satellite communications. This will not only reduce the cost for satellite usage, but will also allow the components to stay connected and receive automated updates.
