Support and sustain procurement of 60KVA Generators for UH-60 Aircraft to enable installation of Army Survivability Equipment for deployments.
Recommendation Information
1. Recommend the US Army National Guard, and US Army replace all 45KVA Generators with the 60KVA Generators
3. Positive Impacts of Acquisition:
a. Improved Readiness for Deployments: Pre-installing the 60KVA generators into the UH-60 Fleet will reduce preparation times for deployments as all units deploying must have 60KVA generator upgrade to support ASE Equipment.
b. Increased Power: The 60KVA Generator supports further upgrades and addresses growing power shortfalls in the UH-60 Fleet.
c. Eliminates Power Shedding issues- Generator will eliminate power shedding issues that already exist for HH-60 MEDEVAC and provides additional for further growth.
d. Does not impact aircraft or maintenance-60KVA generator has the same form, fit and function as the existing 45KVA already approved for installation, and will be included in all deploying UH-60 aircraft
