Proposal Statement
Vendor provided managed services supporting the National Guard trainers and evaluators in order to satisfy the requirements for training and certification of Combat Medic Specialist (MOS 68W), Medical Technicians (4N0), and the Pararescuemen (1T2), and other combat and emergency care training and certifications
Recommendation Information
A vendor provided services solution for the training, simulation and certification of Tactical Combat Casualty and Trauma Care. Managed services provides the staff, equipment and services to bring High-Fidelity Patient Simulators (HFPS) and targeted scenarios to satisfy the requirements for sustainment training of US Army Combat Medic Specialist (68W) and the US Air Force/Air National Guard Medical Technicians (4N0) and Pararescuemen (1T2) in individual and team tasks for a specified drill period, Annual Training, Event or Exercise. HFPS are anatomically correct whole-body manikins and part-task trainers which are designed to replicate human responses to interventions as well as the lack of appropriate treatment or intervention. Having a managed services provider of turnkey simulation operators, equipment, scenarios and sustainment supports the National Guard and Air Guard evaluator performing the assessment and student feedback while ensuring consistency and removing subjectivity from the training and certification of the US Army 68W MOS Combat Medic in accordance with Training Circular (TC) 8-800 Medic Education and Demonstration of Individual Competence (MEDIC) and the US Air Force/Air National Guard (4N0) Medical Technician and the Pararescuemen (1T2) in accordance with Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program and Career Field Education and Training Program.

A Managed services provider ensures a flexible solution of operators, scenarios and equipment, tailored to the specific needs of the unit or team. This service allows National Guard and Air Guard facilitators and evaluators to be focused on training, assessing or evaluating the specific learning objectives and not distracted with equipment operation, set-up, tear-down, administration, storage or logistics.

Managed services are a cost-effective solution for short-term needs, recurring exercises, pre-deployment training requirements or training demands which require the use of HFPS Manikins and part-task trainers.
