Recommendation Information
Currently used MPRS pods are not a cost effective solution for the ANG. Current compatible MPRS pods for the KC-135 would be too expensive to manufacture and maintain, with many of the parts no longer being manufactured. Still today, many coalition receivers are not able to use the basket associated with the MPRS pods during night operations, if at all. Request replace the MPRS resolution with a cost effective Soft Basket Quick Connect Boom Drogue Adapter. This soft basket solution would allow for a wider range of receivers to be able to refuel during day or night operations.
