Recommend that NGAUS influence the Congress of the United States to authorize and appropriate funding to the National Guard Bureau to identify an enterprise class tablet computer solution that allows for upgrades to meet future requirements or when internal components go obsolete. This would allow the National Guard to simply upgrade an easily accessible module vs having to purchase an entirely new tablet. A modular tablet solution would also allow for factory customization to facilitate varying architecture requirements and technology insertion to support multiple program use case/mission scenarios. This modular common tablet solution must be built with integrated semi-rugged military-grade characteristics to address durability without the need for a separate commercial case.
