Recommendation Information
While the language in Standing Air National Guard Resolution #7 addresses the need for the procurement and fielding of the CV-22 in the Air National Guard, it is limited in its scope, restricting the air frame for the purposes of Search and Rescue (SAR) mission. In addition, Line F indicates a requirement for the Department of Defense and National Guard Bureau to develop a budget requirement for Headquarters Air Force to develop an accession strategy for the fielding of the CV-22 to the Air National Guard, but it fails to be specific in regards to a CONCURRENT and BALANCED strategy with the active component.
