Problem: Currently, Soldiers have to manually measure cargo (L x W x H) with tape measures and portable scales to obtain actual measurements and weights. This process is time consuming, inaccurate and unsafe, and takes 4 personnel approximately 20 Plus minutes per piece of cargo. Also, it's difficult to capture actual dimensions for large/unusual pieces of equipment.

Solution: Use the automated Weigh in Motion and Laser Profiling system to electronically weigh and measure cargo for unit movements/deployments. The automated system displays and records vehicles' accurate weights and dimensions within seconds and drastically reduces the number of personnel required to process the vehicle. The system takes 1-2 personnel to operate it and will reduce the time required by over 75%. This system can communicate directly with military load planning systems.

The system is available in two configurations: portable and fixed. Users can bring the portable/deployable configuration to different locations as required. The fixed system is permanently installed in a designated location and has a higher weighing capacity and requires less setup time. This technology is currently used by the Active Military.
