Enact laws to make TRICARE benefits available to members who retire from the National Guard or are honorably discharged persons before reaching age 65
Recommendation Information
Tricare coverage for most persons commences at age 65. This proposal urges changes in existing federal and/or state law to (a) allow persons who retire from the National Guard prior to age 65 to be able to purchase Tricare coverage and (b) allow any person who is honorably discharged to be able to purchase Tricare coverage two years after the honorably discharged date.
