The BCT Task Force has identified the need and requests Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs) for Army National Guard Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs - Armor, Infantry, and Stryker). Currently TACOM receives funding for LAR TDA authorizations from Department of the Army for support to Active Duty BCTs. Similar requirements exist for ARNG BCT LARs but funding to support these authorizations does not receive the validation, priority, or funding during the Total Army Analysis Process budgeting process.

Request legislative support for additional funding and/or legislative influence directed to Department of the Army to make LAR support to ARNG BCTs a higher priority for funding consideration in order to provide a similar level of support to ARNG BCTs with the ARNG's role as as the operational reserve in support of the Army.
