Authorize and appropriate funding to the National Guard Bureau to identify an intercommunications system that expands voice interoperability. The technology should be rugged and of a small form factor and is accredited for inter-operation with secure military networks and can co-exist with existing communications systems. The selected system should operate via a digital IP connection and be able to support wireless connectivity through standard commercial wireless routers. It should be radio/waveform agnostic for voice and PTT, simulcast, Radio over IP and radio conferencing. It should allow the voice cross banding of radios with VoIP, telephones, cell phones, commercial radios and ICS assets.
