Critical Capability as noted at 2013 Weapons and Tactics Conference

MQ-1/MQ-9 aircraft lack sufficient means to establish and maintain communications with Command and Control (C2) and tactical agencies in the Area of Responsibility (AOR)

MQ-1/MQ-9 operators require an integrated, expandable, multi-level secure communications capability for the current and future fight, which will involve both domestic and overseas operations with a variety of partners at multiple classification levels
