Proposal Statement
Replace “Laptop computers and docking stations for leaders at battalion and above” with “network access control solutions allowing leaders to use their own computers and devices”
Recommendation Information
Docking stations are not necessary and would require additional money to purchase monitors, keyboards and mice which must be properly secured between IDTs to prevent theft or repurposing. An enterprise Network Access Control solution that allows leaders to BYOD would greatly reduce the initial fiscal outlay as well as eliminate the lifecycle replacement requirements.
