Driving simulators significantly reduce vehicle operating and maintenance costs, reduce time required for Soldiers to become proficient and sustain individual skills, and increase safety. Since the initial fielding, the ARNG ODS program has evolved with the development of reconfigurable training suites that support training for additional vehicles. Post-fielding development of new training suites and limited budgets have resulted in a shortfall of capabilities; the following training set retrofits are required: Up-Armored HMMV kits, MRAP kits, MATV kits, M915/939 kits.
