Proposal Statement
Institute Assignment Incentive pay for National Guard Cyber personnel
Recommendation Information
Under Title 37 Chapter 5 Subchapter II Section 352 the Secretary concerned may pay assignment pay to a member of the reserve component. This resolution proposes instituting such pay to assist the total force in recruiting and retaining enlisted members holding the 1B4XX Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) in the Air National Guard and the equivalent 17C and 25D Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) in the Army National Guard.

Assignment pay is allowed to be pro-rated for members of the reserve component serving on orders of varying duration as well as payable to members serving in different duty statuses. This would maximize the incentive effect for Drill Status (Air Guard) or M-day (Army Guard) personnel resulting in increased retention and voluntarism amongst the most cost-efficient part of the force.
