There is difficulty filling Technician positions due to compatibility requirements and NGB policy changes. Many positions in the Technician program, country wide, are very stove piped and do not allow for soldiers in various MOSs to apply for technician position although they may possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Many current Technicians become incompatible in their current position due to the NGB Technician Compatibility policy changes.
