Delete the request for 150 additional Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) slots.
Recommendation Information
The additional 150 F-16 SLEP slots were funded prior to FY24, which would have made the POR 450 jets. Due to SLEP’s cost to Aircraft Availability (taking too long to complete), COMACC has decided to reduce that number to 350. This will keep the Post Blk F-16 viable until 2045 with a sunset of 2055. The 350 will include the jets with the highest Equivalent Flight Hours – to prevent early divesting of capabilities. This will include ANG F-16s. The previous request was to ensure ANG F-16s were included in the program.
