(April 15, 2014) NGAUS has an immediate opening for an archivist and museum specialist to work at the National Guard Memorial, the NGAUS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The archivist and museum specialist manages the National Guard Memorial Library, its documents and photograph collection, and assists with all aspects of the National Guard Memorial Museum.
The successful candidate will coordinate the National Guard Educational Foundation social media and manage the foundation website. He or she will also develop exhibits for the museum, including the writing of scripts and labels.
A bachelor’s degree or greater in a museum-related course of study is required. Experience should include work in a museum or library and the ability to work with PastPerfect museum software.
