(April 22, 2014) Representatives of NGAUS will be spreading out across the country this weekend to visit 13 state association conferences being held from Alaska to New Jersey. By the end of the conference season, NGAUS will have had a presence at about 40 conferences, its busiest year in recent memory.
NGAUS staff and others are available to update state conference attendees on the association’s work in the nation’s capital and how members can participate.
Here is the schedule for just this weekend: John Goheen, the NGAUS director of communications, Alaska; retired Maj. Gen. Gus Hargett, the NGAUS president, Colorado; retired Lt. Col. Jake Jakubek, the chief of staff, Indiana; Maj. Gen. Steve Danner, the chairman of the board, Ohio; Karen Cagle, the principal deputy director of membership, marketing and development, Alabama; Retired Col. Pete Duffy, the legislative director, New Jersey; Annie Lively, the legislative affairs manager for Army programs, Pennsylvania; Rich Arnold, the communications production manager, District of Columbia; Adam Maisel, the legislative affairs assistant for Army programs, Wyoming; Grace Washbourne, the legislative affairs manager for joint programs and domestic operations, Nebraska; Patricia O’Connell, the director of finance, contracts and human resources, Minnesota; Mike Waite, the deputy legislative director, Oregon; and Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, the adjutant general of North Dakota, will represent NGAUS in South Dakota.
