NGAUS Board to Hear from Guard Leadership

(March 16, 2013) The NGAUS Board of Directors will hear from top National Guard leadership when it gathers today at the National Guard Memorial, the association headquarters in the nation’s capital.

The board is assembling for its regular spring meeting.

Board members began meeting Friday in various committee sessions, including the finance committee, the NGAUS Insurance Trust and the National Guard Educational Foundation, as well as others.

The full board meets all day today with plans to hear this afternoon from Gen. Frank J. Grass, the National Guard Bureau chief, Lt. Gen. William E. Ingram Jr., the Army Guard director, and Lt. Gen. Stanley E. Clarke III, the Air National Guard director.

The board also will hear updates regarding membership, the upcoming general conference and exhibition in Hawaii scheduled for September and the ongoing efforts of the association on Capitol Hill. Other association departments will also make reports.

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States, the Adjutants General Association of the United States and the National Guard Executive Directors Association will update the board, as well.

The meeting today will be followed by a ceremony recognizing 15 donors to NGEF. The donors will be recognized as members of the Legion de Lafayette, the honor given to the foundation’s largest donors.
