NGAUS Washington Report
(Oct. 1, 2013) Industry representatives, National Guard leaders and others will tee it up Monday for the 15th Annual NGEF Golf Tournament at Laurel Hill Golf Course in Lorton, Va.
The event raises more than $25,000 for the National Guard Educational Foundation, including the National Guard Memorial Museum located at the NGAUS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
“Each year the event proves to be a special way to bring our friends and supporters together for the purpose of raising charitable funds for the National Guard Educational Foundation,” said Luke Guthrie, the NGAUS director for membership, marketing and development.
Registration remains open. To play, contact Guthrie at 202-408-5886 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The mission of NGEF is to preserve and tell the story of the Guard’s nearly four centuries of history. It operates a library which holds 6,000 volumes and the museum, which displays artifacts from that history.
