NGAUS, the nation’s oldest military association, was formed by militia officers in 1878 to obtain better equipment and training by petitioning Congress for more resources. Today, with a membership of 45,000 Guard officers, NGAUS continues that mission in support of nearly 465,000 Army and Air National Guard men and women, as well as their families, employers and all Guard retirees.
Not only do we reach officers and enlisted personnel in the National Guard, our audience also encompasses senior officials at the National Guard Bureau, governors, senators and representatives in Congress, government agencies and the defense industry.
