NGAUS will hold its 17th Annual Industry Day Dec. 10, 2013, at the National Guard Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Glenn Ross, NGAUS Deputy Director, Industry Liaison, expects the event to attract more than 250 attendees, ranging from representatives of some the nation’s leading defense industries to the owners of emerging one-product companies.
Industry Day began in 1997 to build a stronger bond between National Guard leaders and industry.
The schedule includes speakers from NGAUS and the National Guard Bureau and a presentation on the NGAUS legislative priorities. A comprehensive overview of Army and Air Guard product and service requirements will be conducted by NGB officials.
Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., will be the keynote speaker.
A preview of the 136th General Conference, scheduled for Chicago, will also be presented.
For the eighth year in a row, a mini-workshop on “How to do Business with the Guard” will take place the day before from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Registration is encouraged for first-time attendees, and is complimentary if you attend Industry Day.
Admission is $400 for NGAUS Corporate Associates and $500 for nonmembers.
A continental breakfast will be served prior to the program, and a reception will follow at the end of the day. A mid-day lunch will also be provided.
