JSTARS Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System, USA

NGAUS is concerned that the elimination of funding for re-engining of the USAF's E-8C Joint STARS will seriously constrain a critical warfighting mission now heavily tasked in  OEF/OIF.  Further, the failure to re-engine these aircraft is a threat to the safety of the aircrews who fly them and is clearly a drain on scarce resources in meeting increasing maintenance costs.
