The Future Role of the National Guard in Homeland Security/Homeland Defense

The Guard response to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma, along with the assessment of their role by Congress, Governors and local officials and the future of the National Response Plan provides an excellent forum for debate on adequate funding for equipping and training of National Guard forces for future Homeland Security roles.
